House Hunting (part 2)

So we continued to stare at different areas of the same newspaper me on the period town houses, and my wife on the new properties. We had to compromise somewhere along the line, otherwise the day may end up as a waste of time.

We could try a third route, one that shelved the permanent move for now and let us find temporary accommodation. If we rented, so the idea went, it would get us away from the big city and give us the opportunity to search at our leisure. We both agreed that the idea could have some mileage, so we concentrated our efforts within the section over the page called Property to let West Sussex. The area covered was quite substantial, a good deal wider than I had thought. We need to find something close to a railway line, to enable me to continue travelling to work.

We could consider a flat provided it had the space we needed, as parking space was not a priority. The newspaper showed that the town had a poor section on flats to rent in Sussex, which surprised me. Because of the tradition and the close proximity to the seaside, I thought that there would be no shortage of potential properties. What I might consider doing is checking online for possibilities, or even advertising on websites such as Gumtree.

This did seem like a sensibe route to take, although I wasn’t going to give up on my dream Victorian terrace just yet. The prices seemed quite reasonable compared with resorts like Brighton and Hove, which had gone through the roof in recent times. I was going to continue my search and made a mental note of some phone numbers for Estate agents sussex. I would save these for later when we returned home, and were able to relax and think of our day.
