2. 6-10 Cambridge Terrace and 1-2 Chester Gate – £100 million projected
These buildings currently house the Cancer Research UK offices, but will be vacated later in the year to make way for redevelopment. The developer plans to convert the office complex into a vast 10 bedroom mansion that will be equipped with everything a millionaire looking to find property in the capital could want, including a home gym, cinema and swimming pool.

As one of the most prestigious squares in London housing numerous foreign embassies, properties on Belgrave Square fetch extraordinary amounts of money. Ukrainian businesswoman Elena Franchuk reportedly paid £80 million for a detached Victorian villa in the highly regarded area of Upper Phillimore Gardens in Kensington. The property boasts an underground swimming pool, gym, sauna, cinema and a secure ‘panic room’.
5. 18-19 Kensington Palace Gardens – £57 million
When Lakshmi Mittal, Indian Billionaire, bought this residence in Kensington Gardens it broke the record as the most expensive in the world. Positioned on Billionaire’s Row, or the “most exclusive address” in London according to estate agents Knight Frank, Mittal’s stunning home is swathed in marble taken from the same quarry used in the Taj Mahal and has room to park 20 cars.
