Trampoline Replacement Parts – Going for Safe Choices

Are you in need of trampoline replacement parts? If you own a trampoline, then you must know which parts you need to replace and how often. Knowing where to get them is just as important, too. Trampolines can provide hours of enjoyment for both adults and kids. But because of how it is used, it is only understandable if most parts do not last as long as the others. For safety, make sure that all the parts of your trampoline are in good shape.

Trampoline Parts

There are some crucial parts you need to take not of. The most basic is, of course, the trampoline frame. Frames are usually made of sturdy and durable materials like galvanized steel. This is, after all, used to hold the whole structure together. Any damage to the frame, however slight should be replaced.

Then, there are the springs, of course. These springs are also made of galvanized material. To be on the safe side all the time, check each spring and ring connected to it and make sure there are no lose or broken sections. Unlike the frame, you can replace individual springs. You would have to monitor all the other old springs though since they may not wear out all at the same time.

The mat is a third crucial part. Mats may fray at the sides where they are connected to the springs or at the center where jumpers usually position themselves. Some owners may consider stitching covers over worn out portions in the hopes of repairing them. It may be a better idea though to just replace a clearly weathered mat for the safety of users.

There are also some important accessories that you may have to replace and the most important of these accessories are the safety pads. These go over the frame and springs and prevent injuries due to improper landings. These are made of vinyl or polyethylene and may show initial signs of damage on the outer ring portion. They should be replaced when they start to tear.

Where to Get Them

Most trampoline replacement parts are sold in sporting goods store and sports shop. However, there are a couple of points for you to consider. As much as possible, you should get spare parts from the manufacturer of your trampoline. Getting these spare parts from the same trampoline manufacturer will ensure that you have parts that are specifically made and suited for your trampoline model and type. You never have to worry about a possibly unsafe mismatch.

Another alternative to go for third party suppliers. If the manufacturer of your model no longer sells parts or is out of business then going for third party suppliers may have to be your only resort. If you choose this option though, you need to make sure that the company you are buying from truly specializes in trampolines and know which brands and types of parts are most recommended for your particular model.

Online auction stores is another option but this is only advisable if you are an expert on trampolines yourself. You would have to know your trampoline and its parts inside and out to make the right choices.

When it comes to choosing trampoline replacement parts, it is always good to go for the safest. Getting things wrong the first time could mean serious injury for one of your family members.
